چکیده

The STOP-Bang has been promoted as a valuable tool for identifying obstructive sleep apnea-hypopnea syndrome (OSAHS) in medical and surgical patients. However, its performance Colombian samples is unknown. objective of this study was to determine the clinimetric index versus polysomnography patients from Santa Marta, Colombia. An accuracy diagnostic tests with test-based approach designed. Seven hundred sixty-two adults referred evaluate OSAHS were included research. They aged between 18 94 years old (mean=47.2, SD=13.4), 63.3% men, 46.5% classified obese. compared against best reference criterion, hypopnea/apnea determined by polysomnography. diagnosis confirmed 461 (60.5%) corroborated 301 (39.5%). area under curve 0.70 (95%CI 0.66-0.74), cut-off point 4, sensitivity 79.2%, specificity 53.5%, positive predictive value 72.2%, negative 62.6%, likelihood ratio 1.70, 0.39; OR=4.08 (CI95% 2.99-5.56) Cohen's kappa 0.33. As conclusions, indicators show that STOP-Bang...
